About
Hello, I’m Elizabeth, the founder of Socci Art Consultancy. With over 9 years of curatorial experience, I have successfully curated a wide variety of art exhibitions, working closely with museum collections, artists, their families, and audiences to bring collective visions to life. My passion for museums and galleries has been lifelong. Over 15 years ago, I began my journey with my first voluntary role at what was then the Cambridge and County Folk Museum. This continued enthusiasm for the care of collections, including their management, display, storage, handling, and interpretation, is something I bring into each project.
Interpreting art is one of my greatest passions. Providing audiences with context, knowledge, and ideas to spark their engagement with art is a privilege. My passion was cemented through studying Art History at both A Level and my BA at the University of Nottingham, leading to my MA in Art Museum and Gallery Studies at the University of Leicester. My academic background has deepened my understanding of art collections and honed my research skills, providing a strong foundation for my practical museum work.
Over the years, I have worked in regional museums, country houses, art galleries, and heritage centres, as well as with private collections. Notably, I spent over 7 years at Northampton Museums and Art Gallery as the Art Curator, where I was responsible for the curation and care of their Fine and Decorative Art Collections. This diverse experience across various cultural institutions has equipped me with a wide range of expertise and skills, shaping the comprehensive services offered by Socci Art Consultancy.
Through Socci Art Consultancy, I aim to bring my passion for art interpretation and collections care to my clients through personalised solutions to suit their requirements. I work closely with each client to understand their vision and develop a project that delivers on this. My expertise in curation, design, and collections management ensures a seamless and engaging process from start to finish. I look forward to collaborating with you and making your vision a reality.
